Independence Day

When: July 4th.

The fourth of July is the birthday of the USA. Today, the Americans celebrate and enjoy the freedom that comes with the event that made this day so special.

Thomas Jefferson, is the author of the Declaration of Independence. He led a committee that crafted the declaration between June 11-28, 1776. Jefferson and other discontented representatives from the thirteen colonies, voted and approved it on July 4, 1776. The document declared freedom for the 13 colonies from British rule. It currently resides in the Exhibition Hall of the National Archive in Washington, D.C.

Fourth of July is not complete without parades and fireworks. Fireworks are enjoyed by almost everyone. You should have your choice of several locations in your area on the Fourth, or even the day before.

O quatro de Julho é o aniversário dos EUA. Hoje, os americanos celebram e desfrutam da liberdade que vem com o evento que fez esse dia tão especial. Thomas Jefferson, é o autor da declaração da independência. Ele liderou um Comitê que criou a declaração entre 11-28 de Junho de 1776. Jefferson e outros descontentes representantes das treze colônias, votaram e aprovaram o documento em 4 de julho de 1776. Este declarava a liberdade para as 13 colônias do domínio britânico. Ele atualmente reside na sala de exibição do arquivo nacional em Washington, D.C. Quatro de Julho não está completo sem desfiles e fogos de artifício. Canada (Dominion) Day

Canada (Dominion) Day When: July 1st(except when it fall on a Sunday it is then celebrated the next day) Canada Day is a celebration of Canadian nationalism, heritage and pride. Canada became self-governing on July 1st, 1867, with the passage of the British North America Act (BNA Act) in the British Parliament. The holiday was originally known as "Dominion Day". It was changed to Canada Day by the Canadian Parliament on October 27, 1982.

Father's Day

Father's Day

When: Third Sunday in June A day to honor Dad. NO. Better still, it is a day to enjoy time with Dad and appreciate all he does for you. What Dad really wants are healthy, happy and successful kids. And, he wants you to spend a few moments with him on Father's Day. Today's life style is busy for both dads and kids. So, a little time with dad on Father's day is just what he wants. A Father is more than the biological paternal source of our being. It is the person who cares and provides for us. It is the man who helps to set the standards, the family values and the example. So add to this group, step fathers and other men who willingly and eagerly accept and cherish the role. Whether biological, adopted or informally, if they are the father figure to you, give him some recognition today and don't hesitate to call him "Dad".

Quando: Terceiro domingo do dia de Junho. Um dia para  honrar o pai. NÃO, melhor ainda, é um dia para desfrutar do tempo com o pai e apreciar tudo o que ele faz para você. O que o  pai realmente quer são crianças saudáveis, felizes e bem sucedidas. Ele também quer passar alguns minutos com sua prole no dia dos Pais. O estilo de vida de hoje é atarefado para ambos, pais e filhos, asiim, um pouco de tempo com a família no Dia dos Pais é tudo o que ele quer.  Um pai é mais do que a fonte biológica do nosso ser. Ele é a pessoa que se preocupa e fornece para nós. Ele é o homem que ajuda a definir os padrões, os valores da família e o exemplo. Assim, adicione a este grupo, pais adotivos e outros homens que voluntariamente e ansiosamente aceitam e valorizam este papel. Quer  seja biológico, adotado ou informal, se ele for a  figura do pai para você, dê-lhe reconhecimento neste dia e não hesite em chamá-lo de "Pai".
